The Moon

November 30, 2009

Sadly, I have yet to see the new 2009 release film entitled, Moon, but it is on my Amazon wish list. Meanwhile Kalkion ezine have reprinted my factual article on the moon at

I combine a fascination for quirky facts and coincidences and my urge to debunk ‘common sense’. It was originally published in our Escape Velocity magazine, issue 3.

In the above kalkion edition is chapter 6 of my Exit, Pursued by a Bee science fiction mystery. The previous chapters can be accessed there too.

Escape Velocity Magazine

November 20, 2009

Streamlining our websites, we have merged the website for Escape Velocity magazine with its parent publisher, Adventure Books of Seattle. So the website is now

http://www.adventurebooksofseattle.com/escapevelocitymagazine.htm

There are links there to free downloads of earlier issues and links to the Kindle versions and print. Escape Velocity is a year old and so a fledgling magazine. We need more sales so dip into the site and tickle your fancy.

Submissions are closed until March 2010. However, if you have a diamond of a story and think our publication is ideal for it then send it directly to me for review and consideration at my email address. geoffnelder AT yahoo DOT com

Kill-Grief in Chester

November 9, 2009

I’m looking forward to meeting Caroline Rance, whose debut historical novel has recently been released. Kill-Grief is based in Chester and so has resonance for me. Caroline’s website will whet your appetite here. You’ll see that the novel is a gutsy medical drama set in the eighteenth century – mystery, well-researched history, medicine and a lechorous surgeon – what more could you want?

She is part of the Chester Library Meet the Authors programme this year and will be talking about her book and the research that went into it on Wednesday November 25th at 7pm. Entrance is only £3 and includes refreshments.
